Dear tauira,

welcome to our kura website.

the links on the left-hand side (in the green side bars) will take you to info about our kura. on the right hand side there are links to some of the new events and discussions. plus you can read the latest maori news from the New Zealand Herald in the bottom right hand corner.

some general stuff:

- you can now pay thru the website using paypal or mastercard/visa (go to courses/payments)

- you can add a picture of yourself, your maunga, your papakainga, your whanau or anything else you like, by changing your user account after you log in :)

- we have a guestbook so it would be great if you could sign in to say that you have been here :) and also vote in our poll - we are trying to get a feel for what other stuff people would like to learn

some userid stuff...

- everyone in the kura has a userid made up of kura name and last name e.g. kiri.goodall, tipene.keenan

- when you log in with your userid (select login on top right hand corner), you will be able to make changes which are not possible for non-tauira such as adding your own panui or mihi

- you also have a kura e-mail account for the same userid
e.g. kiri.goodall@akomaori.com, tipene.keenan@akomaori.com. if you gave us an e-mail address, then e-mail sent to your akomaori.com e-mail will automatically forward to your usual e-mail address

- yuo can also access your kura e-mail directly by going to http://webmail.akomaori.com and logging in. This works whether or not you have another e-mail address.

- each kura (@akomaori.com) e-mail account has 500mb free space

lastly, our website is just new so there may be some problems... if you see anything wrong (like missing macrons etc) or have problems doing anything, please let me know so i can have a look at it. that would help us a lot :)
